Vacation Day 3: Indoor Water Park!!!!

I love this picture of the girls!! Notice Madelin is wearing her swimsuit and MJ has her snow boots on...believe it or not, both of them were wearing what we needed to wear for our day. (Madelin still needed to put an outfit on over her suit!) Even with the 20 plus inches of snow here, we were able to enjoy a water park because it was indoors! This indoor water park is awesome and the girls LOVE it!! So, we layered up, drove a half mile down the road and enjoyed the resort's indoor water park for the day!!

It was so weird to be swimming in an 84° water park and look up to see the snow on the windowed ceiling!!

Our pictures won't fully show how cool this water park was, because our kids wanted to do the same Froggy slide over and over....they were to afraid of the "big" slides.

Sisters...having fun together.

Matt's sister (Kim) and her daughter (Lily). Lilyann is SO pretty and has the bluest eyes.

Gigi taking it easy. She had a great time watching her 5 Great Grandchildren in the water!!

Madelin showing off her spunkiness before going down the slide!! This bathing suit was GREAT with the built in life vest, but it looked like she was a body builder up top!

Remember what I said about the Froggy slide? They really couldn't get enough of it.

This is little Michael. He has two ears.

Sisters. (Legally.)

Uncle Mike and Lily chilling.

Madelin and Daddy enjoying the lazy river.

Here's the whole family...the whole lazy family.

The day was GREAT!!

Vacation Day 2:: Playing in the Snow!!

Today, we all chilled and relaxed in our Vacation home. In the afternoon, the "Big" kids, Kayden, Michael, and Michaela went outside to play in the snow with Uncle Mike, Aunt Kim, and Matt. GiGi stayed in with Lilly and I stayed in with Madelin, plus, I snuck in a little reading time too =)

Above, Michaela is with Aunt Kim riding the elevator down to go outside and build a snowman.

Michaela had such a good time playing with her cousins!! Kayden (above and 5 years old), enjoyed hanging out in the snow!! The cousins have been playing so nicely together!!!

Uncle Mike, Kayden, Michaela, Aunt Kim, and Michael together in the snow!

Kayden, Michaela, and Michael eating the snow!

Today, was fun, and we have more fun to come!!!

Flashmatch

With all the Snow still falling down, we enjoyed Family time for our first night on vacation! After the 5 kiddos were all put to bed, Matt, Kim, Mike, Grandma, and I played Flashmatch! (pictured above and below).

Matt has been talking about this game A LOT for the past few weeks. It is a game that he remembers playing as a family when he was little, so he decided to purchase it from Amazon so we all could play it together. It was SO COOL to watch Matt and his sister, Kim, all excited over recalling all the good memories they had from playing this game years ago.

I must say that the two of them enjoyed it MUCH MORE than Mike and I. To be honest, I didn't even play this time. (I had played a few rounds with Matt at home, the day the game arrived and it didn't really tickle my fancy.) I don't think many people know about this game. They only made it 1 year, back in the 80's. You watch a video of all these images on the screen and then, when the clip is over, you have to match up the cards in front of you with the ones you just saw. Anyway, there is a little more to it, but that's about it.

So, you might be wondering what I did while they were playing? Well, look below...I enjoyed a cup of tea!! (Thanks, Mandi, for telling me about this kind...delicious!!!) Oh, and I also took pictures so I could blog about it =) Plus, I enjoyed watching my hubby enjoy something he remembers doing with this parents!!

Think they were tired?

As is mentioned below, we decided to leave for Virginia at 2am in order to beat the snow. Needless to say, our normal sleep patterns got messed up. At about 5pm, the girls wanted to watch a movie. These pictures were taken minutes later. (Notice Gigi didn't last long either.)

Our Vacation Home

Matt here...

Here are a few pictures of our sweet home away from home. This four bedroom, four bath, two kitchen, two hot tub, and more set-up only cost about $500 for the WHOLE week. Amazing deal in my book...

Happy Birthday, Gigi!!!

Matt's Grandmother flew in from California, yesterday...on her birthday!!! Matt picked her up from the airport and then took her out on a birthday dinner date -- just the 2 of them. We were all waiting back at our house with streamers, cake, and birthday wishes for Gigi! (what the girls call her.)

Gigi was SO surprised and thrilled! Michaela made her a door-knob hanger, which Gigi loved! We had a good time celebrating and took off for Virginia a few hours later, so we could beat the SNOW BLIZZARD and still get to our mountain destination to hang out with Matt's sister and her family and Gigi for a week!!
